Institute of Professional English Teaching

The English language originated in what is today known as England, in the United Kingdom of Great Britain.  Since its evolution over many hundreds of years, English has spread throughout the world.  It has become the most widely spoken language in the world, and the de facto 'universal' language.

 

 

What is IPELT?

IPELT is the Institute of Professional English Language Teaching, an association of individual English language teachers and English language schools.  The aims of the association are to promote professionalism in English teaching throughout the world.

Membership is open to all professional teachers of English, whether they be 'native-speakers' or not.
 
 FRAUD ALERT
 We have recently received a request for information about our 'agents' in Romania, who are allegedly collecting 'commission' for IPELT courses.  IPELT is an association of teachers and schools.  IPELT does not employ teachers, and does not provide courses of any kind.  Any person claiming to be an 'agent' of IPELT is lying and should be reported to the police.

Joining IPELT

 

All professional teachers of English and English language schools throughout the world may apply for membership of IPELT.

Membership fees are $100 per year for individuals, and $500 per year for schools.  Membership allows individuals and schools to use the IPELT membership logo on their websites, resumes and job applications.
